Health & Safety:

Covers the relevant regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including WHMIS, Critical Injury, Designated Substances, Industrial Establishments and First Aid, as well as responsibilities and regulations under applicable provincial OHS Occupational Health & Safety Acts. You will understand and demonstrate knowledge of the basic injury/illness reporting requirements.

Recruitment & Selection:

Recognizes and demonstrates knowledge of the required steps in the recruitment and selection process. Also identifies and demonstrates knowledge of Behavioural and Situational interviews. Teaches you to understand and demonstrate knowledge of the importance of screening, testing and reference checking.

Business Practices & Ethics:

Identifies unethical client and candidate behaviour and demonstrates on how to handle them, and how to recognize and explain differences between ethical and unethical staffing practices. Also identifies acceptable business practices, the legal and professional ramifications of unethical business practices and the process for reporting breeches of the ACSESS Code of Ethics.

Legal Aspects Staffing Services:

Covers co-employment issues in the staffing industry along with employment standards legislation (including relevant sectors) and legal practices.
